The shaded area is the standard-error confidence intervals, and δ indicates change after 1 or 3 years. Regression coefficients (β) and 95%CI were obtained from ANCOVA models for improving the interpretability of linear relationships. The p-value indicates the significance of the smooth term in the GAM.
